About the author
Rachel Perfecto is an American carillonneur, conductor, and musicologist currently living in Ghent, Belgium. She joined the Guild of Carillonneurs in North America as a carillonneur member in June 2015. The following year, Rachel graduated with greatest distinction from the Royal Carillon School "Jef Denyn" in Mechelen, Belgium, thanks to the support of a fellowship from the Belgiam American Educational Foundation. For her thesis, she researched various techniques of arranging for the carillon, forming the starting point for this website. Rachel holds a bachelor degree in music from Yale University and a master's in musicology from the KU Leuven, and a master's in conducting from the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp. She has performed carillon concerts throughout the US and Europe and has taught harmony, composition, and arranging at the Royal Carillon School "Jef Denyn."
